01:23 am: Here's the deal.

I'm done. Seriously, done. I've had it. I don't want to work for Jersey Gardens anymore, nor do I want to work for AMC. I want no part of it anymore.

So here's the plan.

I found 8 teaching jobs for which I'm applying. If I don't get any of them, I'm still going to quit and substitute teach. I'll have to get a 2nd job to help out (waitressing, etc.) but I have to do it. I hate going to work, I hate being at work, I hate thinking about work, I hate worrying about work, and I hate getting phone calls from work on my day off.

Done. Finished. Quitting. Soon.

01:13 am: I realize it's been a month. A lot has happened in a month. But the truth is, I didn't feel like complaining on here. It's kind of like, if you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all. It's not like I've never complained on here (ha), but I've been really miserable at work lately and I didn't want to be miserable on here. There you go. Ta da.

This is so cool:

Also, I love Miranda and Steve.

That's all. I'm a simple girl.

11:42 pm: So I went on to Wachovia to check my accounts today. When I opened my savings account last week, I put $6000 from my checking in it. Today I look and there's only $5950. Where is the $50? It says that I wrote a check. I saw a copy of the cancelled check and I tried to post it here, but it won't let me. Suffice it to say, I'm not from Alabama, I didn't pay $50 for a banquet, and that's not my account number at the top of the check.

Things to do tomorrow:

1. Call Wachovia.

Current Mood: confused
09:35 pm: Once upon a time I had bilateral internuclear opthamoplegia. I feel...not right today and I'm worried that it's the same thing. I'm sure I'm just overreacting. But my eyes hurt and I feel a pull when I look to the side. I woke up so dizzy and sick-feeling that I had to go into work late. I don't mean to worry myself or anyone else (don't tell my mom!) but I sincerely hope it's not the same thing.

02:08 am: 10 things that I know are true:

1. I absolutely despise driving in NJ.
2. I'd rather not be with anyone than be with someone who's not right for me.
3. There are a lot of deer around here and I'm getting better at avoiding them.
4. I'm about to spend the next 6 months to a year working my ass off at work.
5. Change is good.
6. I need to find someone with the 4th season of 24.
7. I have to wake up in 6 hours.
8. Sometimes you have to go with your gut feeling, regardless of the consequences.
9. If I don't find a guy, I just may marry my apartment. I love it that much. If my apartment turns me down, there's always Mr. EZ Pass and the copier at Hamilton.
10. I've learned a lot about myself in the past week.

10:00 pm: The "I couldn't care less about you meme!"

In a world of endless TMI blogging, one meme stands above the rest to deliver the ultimate in reality-grasping conclusions: nobody cares.
That being said:

Comment and
1. I'll respond with something painfully obvious about you.
2. I'll totally challenge you to do something you've totally done before and are pretty good at.
3. I'll pick a random color that may have absolutely nothing to do with you but could be connected in some long-winded existentialist explanation (explanation not provided).
4. I'll tell you something you like about me.
5. I'll tell you the last thing I've heard from you.
6. I'll tell you what animal I'd rather be devouring right now.
7. I'll ask you something everyone already knows about you.

May 25th, 2006

01:25 pm: I've been trying to be a quieter person lately; I don't like how much I talk. However, when I do that, everyone constantly asks if I'm OK. Hmm.

The Mets game last night was fun. Laurie and I walked over to the group of cute sailors and sat by them for a while. Good times. Between the train ride and the subway ride, I finished most of Digital Fortress. It's nowhere near as good as The Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons, but it's not bad.

I've decided to take 2 classes in the fall. Ever since Sharon confirmed that I could start teaching high school math with 30 credits of college math, I've been uber inspired to finish earlier. While teaching, I can obtain my certification via alternate route and still go for my masters. The situation at work is only expediting the process in my mind. So it looks like it will be Linear Algebra Monday/Wednesday 7:30-9:20 pm...and Statistics. Here are my options for Stat:

1. Tuesday/Thursday 8:00-9:20 am
2. Monday/Wednesday 8:00-9:20 am
3. Tuesday/Thursday 9:30-10:50 am
4. Monday/Wednesday 6:00-7:20 pm
5. Internet class

So really the choices are: early as hell, kind of early but can't open at work, one class after another, or internet. What do you think?

This summer looks to be busy, too. One day when I finish this RWJUH volunteer application, I hope to start there. I think I'll be tutoring some kids of my mom's friends, too. It's good to keep busy.

11:31 pm: Robyn and Mathieu are married :)

When we heard that Liz was doing a speech, Alicia, Sarah, and I got nervous and thought we should prepare one just incase. We didn't end up giving the speech. I didn't write a couple of things in my card to Robyn and Mat because I didn't want to repeat myself from the speech, so I didn't get to say a couple of things. LJ seems like an appropriate place for you both. Here you go:

When Robyn and I were 16, we spent a lot of time talking about life. One day I asked Robyn if she thought we'd still be friends when we're 70. She said no. I remember being pretty upset and having her explain to me that most people don't stay friends after high school. I don't know if it was her logic and reason or the fact that she was sick of me. But look at where we are today.

Just to let you know, Robyn my love - I never had a doubt :)

I'm so proud to call Robyn and Mat my friends. I feel so lucky to have been a part of this special day. When they're 70, I hope that they'll look back on this day as one of the best of their lives - and I hope all of the days in between are filled with laughter and love.

Aw.

I seemed to cry the most right before the ceremony began (which makes sense) and when I was saying goodbye to Robyn after the party. That seemed strange at the time; even Robyn seemed puzzled that I was so sad then. I do know that they're still the same people. I guess today just made me realize how unbelieveably important Robyn is in my life. She's my best friend in the whole world. I'd marry her myself, but Mat beat me to it. She is not only a part of my life, but a part of who I am. She is a part of me. Realizing the significance of her friendship just overwhelmed me. It's still overwhelming me now - I'm crying as I'm writing this.

And now I must sleep. More wedding recap tomorrow.

11:42 pm: There's an episode of Friends where Joey and Chandler are hanging out in Monica and Rachel's apartment. As they're channel surfing on the TV, they suddenly realize that they're getting free porn on one of the channels. Afraid of losing it, they insist on leaving it on 24/7. It's left on for days and it's a really funny backdrop to the rest of the story.

That's how I feel about my TV right now. The other day, I flipped the switch that controls the outlet of the TV and cable box. When I flipped it back on, I couldn't get the cable to work. That was 2 days ago. Today I don't know what I did, but I got it to work. Now I'm afraid to turn it back off.

Well, I must get some sleep. I have to meet Laurie at 8:30 so I can get my car fixed.
